Use: Dashboard Options are views or functionality within the My Student Aid site, such as viewing the uploader, displaying the Contribution Planning tab, or displaying the landing page tile for Financial Aid Status. When these options are enabled, a student will be able to view or interact with those sections of the site. This table allows an administrator to enable and disable what a student views in their My Student Aid account by award year and allows adding an existing option to a new award year. New options are not added on this table.
Description: The administrative table, Student Dashboard Options, displays dashboard options that an administrator can enable or disable for a student based on an award year. The table includes columns for the award year, the name of the option to be displayed, and if the option is enabled or disabled.
Accessed by:
- Navigate to Student Financial Services Utilities and Reports Site
- In menu on right, click Financial Aid/Utilities/Student Portal Settings
- Page will open on Student Dashboard Actions tab, click the third tab, Student Dashboard Options
Adding a New Option:
- click Add Option
- select Name from a drop down of available options
- select Enabled or Disabled from the radio button option
- select Award Year from drop down of available award years
- click Ok to save
- to view saved option in table, click Financial Aid/Utilities/Student Portal Settings and select the Student Dashboard Options tab
Editing an Option:
- click pencil icon on table to open the edit modal
- update fields (descriptions above)
- click Ok to save
Deleting an Option:
- click trash can icon on table
- option will be removed from table
Notes: If a display option is needed across award years it needs to be entered into the table for each award year.
